The Suncoast Impact Committee formally dissolved effective with the notice to the CWCA Board at their January 24, 05 meeting. 

Although successful in securing landscaping along the Suncoast Parkway that runs throughout Cheval West as the Suncoast Parkway Committee, the Impact Committee was unable to convince FDOT of the need for noise barrier walls in two critical sections, even though there was evidence that such walls were promised in 1995 and 1996 renderings. 

In the final analysis, decibel levels recorded in various locations in Cheval West did not meet the threshold needed to warrant noise walls as specified by FDOT. 

There is a final effort to have FDOT conduct annual testing of decibel levels in the future to monitor noise levels, due to the anticipated increase in Parkway traffic, based on efforts to construct on /off ramps at Lutz-Lake Fern Road, and the proposed construction of a new high school located at the northeast section of Lutz-Lake Fern Road and the Suncoast Parkway.
